Message:   If I were you, I'd first determine what ratio rear you have now. Look at the center section of the rear and see if you see a thin metal tag with some numbers on it. It might say something like 4:1 or similar. That would indicate a 4:10 rear. If there's no tag, you can jack up one rear wheel and put a mark on the driveshaft. With tranny in neutral, turn the wheel exactly two turns and count the number of revolutions of the driveshaft. If it turns 4.1 times that would mean it's a 4.10 rear. If it turns 4.88 turns it is a 4.88. I wouldn't go any higher than a 3.55 with a /6 engine. An o/d transmission from a 70's or 80's Mopar with a 3.55 would make a good driver I would think, but you would have to modify the floor some for the shifter like John said. BTW, be sure the front wheels are chocked before jacking it up.
