Message:   John, that isn't exactly correct. The early 170 and 225's look alike. The early models all had the spark plug tubes with O rings around the top. Sometime around the early 70's they changed and eliminated the tubes and changed to smaller plugs. I think the change was when they started with the hardened valve seats for unleaded gas.
