Message:   Urethane primers are waterproof and can be exposed to rain without any problems. If you want that primered look you can use urethane and leave it like that indefinitely. It also comes in several colors. Spray can primers are typically not urethane and should not get wet, but if they do you can usually sand it after it drys and re-coat it without any problems.
