I could remain silent on this but I'll take my own liberties:
Gotta agree with PwrWgnDrvr, FrankyB, Patrick & others on this one. We face some pretty desperate times in our nation and though we love our hobbies there's other issues for friends to talk about, even in disagreement. Yeah, fights can stir up here, I've been in my share, some my fault!
But, currently there's a large crowd of folks calling themselves liberals that want your old piece of junk clunker garbage wagon smashed into a lump & sent to China. Doesn't matter if it's restored and worth $45,000 and one-of-one, or if it's up on blocks in the front yard as yard art: POLLUTING RESOURCE HOG: DESTROY!
And yes, plenty of others want to steal our other rights. To me good old Dodge trucks go hand in hand with hunting or shooting hobbies, and MANY want to outlaw guns & ammo in America. Releveant to this forum? I think so, even if it causes some shouting.
Seems the best advice is that given, that if political rants are a problem then best to not read them so tempers stay cool. No problem with your liberal beliefs, or my conservative beliefs, but as mentioned: we shouldn't be forbidden to speak them, that's the major wrong and the true danger to our American liberties.
The loss of 1st Amendment rights is the single greatest danger in America, and our 2nd Amendment is the only power of defense available if some others try to steamroller us. We will defend your right to speak, & disagree, with all of our resource. |
