Message:   My Dad and I are starting the restoration on our 64 Panel and converting it to 4 wheel drive. We took the valve covers and intake off to check out the motor because the previous owner thought it had a bent rod which we found it does. One dilemma is do we rebuild the poly that was in there originally or do we use a poly with 40,000 miles that was rebuilt 5-10 years ago. The previous owner of the engine also said it ran great.
We got the front clip disassembled and the windsheild out. It is sure nice to have an air and impact wrench to get those bolts off especially with all the rust and buildup on them. Here are a few pictures of the progress:
