Message:   If there is no room for the bolt then I agree with Butch,,, noone really knows how much room there is on the front pump although I have seen engines with the thrust bearings screwed & the crank floating back & forth with the front pump seal OK. Have you thought about taking the convertor to a machine shop??? blind holes are done all the time in production
