Thanks Russ! At some point in time the lug bolts were changed from 1/2" to 9/16", so many different styles of aftermarket wheels, will need lug nuts with different shoulders to properly attach the wheel. On alloys there are so many types of holes that one could easily use the wrong lugs (I've had aftermarket wheels installed with the wrong lugs several times).
Just about every auto parts store has a lug nut bin with dozens of options, so it's possible and safe to run the later wheels as long as close attention is paid the the lug nut hole size and seat angle.
You've got me wondering now if the Cab/Chassis wheels with the 1'1/4" holes are the same as Ferds....?
American Racing Wheels has a neat application Guide on their website that let's you spend a rainy day searching for similar sized wheels and lug patterns.....
