You say you bought one off the forum for $2500, but it was in better shape. What do you mean by that? According to what you said, the only difference would be you weren't missing a driveline. Does yours have aboslutely ROT FREE floors, rockers, doors, etc? Does yours have a factory 383? Is yours a CUSTOM cab with the script CUSTOM badges on the doors, stainless gutter trim and carpet moldings at the sills? Is your sheetmetal, such as fenders, absolutely rust and dent free? Did yours come with a PTO? Does yours have a factory reinforced frame consisting of plate on the sides of the frame BEHIND the leaf spring brackets?
Starting with the $2500 you paid, add $500 for lockouts, and who knows how much for the big block, sheetmetal condition, custom trim, pto and frame, this truck should be worth $4-5000 minimum as is.
