Message:   I own stock in both GM and D-C, so I wouldn't mind something happening from a purely selfish financial point of view! But, I really don't see GM having the ability to buy Chrysler Group from Daimler. They'll need another partner, like Toyota or Hyundai, or even a foreign government (China, anyone???) to pull it off! The Chinese are itching to get into the North American market. They already buy our scrap metal, they have a nearly unlimited labor pool (voluntary, slave, paid, and convict!), and have the cash to do so, (thanks to our inability to say "no" to cheap crap sold at WallyWorld)...but I digress.

IF Daimler sells off Chrysler, and that's a big IF, it will have to be approved by several Federal agencies, probably at least five foreign governments (Mexico, Canada, Germany, the EU, and maybe Japan or China, plus our own), and of course, the shareholders. It is possible, but how likely?
