Message:   I could be wrong, but I think we are unlikely to see a sale of Chrysler, anytime soon. The Mercedes M and R series are selling well and based upon Chrysler platforms at Jeep and Dodge. Chrysler transmissions and Mercedes motors are dispersed among several models. Until last year Mercedes was hurting and was propped up by Chrysler. I think the two lines are too intermingled at present to be able to split off one or the other without a major rework. If you see transmissions and engines and platforms change, you may then see a sale, but without going back to single purpose platforms, several Mercedes, Jeep and Dodge vehicles would have to die in order to sell now.
