Message:   Like Terry said, and best to be on a smooth flat surface with tranny properly aligned BEFORE stabbing it in. A slow easy install is better than trying to ram it home, or else you risk knocking the clutch fork, release bearing or clutch pre-alignment out of whack. Then you got problems....

If it doesn't want to go in double check your clutch plate alignment and transmission 'approach' angle. I chain the trans to the floor jack securely with turnbuckles for tightening while adjusting the install angle as needed, then install.
