Message:   frank, when i converted mine, i found it easier to have the bell and clutch assembly in place, then stab the tranny. it was also much easier to do with the shifter handle removed, and the floor plate out of the way. in case he doesnt already know, the 4spd takes a larger bolt then the 3spd to hold it to the bell. i found this out while laying under the truck with the tranny held by a floor jack. really sucked to learn this when i was in a position that didnt allow me to jump out and run to the store.
