Message:   There seems to be a problem with Bravenet this morning, so we'll continue with the current Truck of The Week for a little bit and you can take an extra few hours to enjoy Mike's workhorse.
Have another cup of coffee, read the complete Sunday paper, take a pelosi, or just relax and listen to your new Dodge Sweptline CD by FrankyB and the Valvetones....hmmm, hey Frank, if you re-name your band, I want credit for that...ha! ha!
On a more serious note, I want to thank those of you (18 to date) that have contributed to the Save Uggville, Memorial Fund. While the family is still in dire straights, a Dodger has stepped up to travel to Uggville and repair Ugg's Beast, which is now drivable. A lot of suggestions and support has been given to Mrs. Ugg and she now knows that she is not alone in her time of need.
Ugg was a special guy, kind of a lot like Terry in demenor....= )
Alway willing to help others, even though he was worse off health wise than anyone that he tried to help.
I think Ugg would be a little taken back by the outpouring of help and contributions. A Veteran, with a plethora of health issues, Ugg had only seen the bureaucratic and idiotic side of the pathetic health treatment we afford to our Veterans. It's a National disgrace that we tolerate the kind of care that most Vets receive and it's a microscopic glimpse into what lies ahead for all of us if a national health care fiasco is forced upon us.
Ugg was beginning to organize resistance to the continuing health care fiasco that is our VA Hospital System. When ever you think of Ugg, send the DTA a bit of help for his family, or write your elected federal representative and demand better care for our veterans.
