Message:   I bought the engine off of craiglist for $50. He told me it had 80,000 miles when the headgasket let go. He said it didn't use any oil and ran great. He said he drove it ten miles on the blowed headgasket, then parked it. He didn't know how to set up the timing belt, so he just pulled the motor and put a different one in. I'm putting this engine in a 91 Dakota that I have had since December of 1992. Basically I'm getting ready for my next project after the sweptline. I parked the Dakota 10 years ago when it blew it's headgasket. I was going to do a v-8 swap, but decided against because of gas prices and the older I get the harder it gets to work on cars and trucks. In the time the truck set, the engine locked up on me, so I found this one. I plan to keep it, but what its roll will be in my fleet of trucks is unknown at this point.
