Keep in mind that Manufacturers require high standards from dealers these days, with modern show rooms, basic standards for waiting rooms and equipment, etc. A dealer's overhead can be tremendous, especially if sales slow. Dozens of dealers are on their last legs right now. The nations largest Chevrolet dealer with 19 outlets in the South, recently went under, as have nearly a dozen in SoCal.
