Message:   One problem common with the harder bits is that if you do not use a pilot hole or step up too quickly in size, the "sholders" or leading edge of the bit will chip or round off, look closely at the bits, if they have been resharpened, sometimes the cutting edge is not tappered far enough away from the bit body and the bit cutting edge is not making proper or full contact with the surface.
