Message:   Mark, the data plate on the cab at the rear of the drivers door will tell you the horse power and tranny type, and other info about the truck. Also since it was a govt. truck check to see if there are any other tags affixed to the cab near the data plate that mention a cert number. Can't remember what CERT stands for but it refers to factory modifications and special equipment that might have been ordered for the truck. If you have any cert tags post the numbers here as we are all interested in hearing about what special things these trucks might have come with. Ben who posts here has about the only known information on what different cert numbers mean. Also, if you are going to be doing much restoration work on it you should purchase Jim MeGee's restoration cd. There's a link to it at the top of this page.
