Message:   This is intended to add to the discussion of knowledge based opinions and does not reflect unto the Dodgeboy post. And Yes, Russ your point is well taken.

I realize my comments are not being argued "per say" nor were they. Yet even so I guess I well "with all due coutesy" belabor the point.

I agree with the Quality Remarks of early sixties but, only to the point, of those bed spot welds. Other than those I see no quality control difference. My old Junkyard 61 will stand up with any of the later models. According to the original owner it has had no body work to fix any factory flubs. The original owner lives three blocks from me.

It was/is flawless as to quality when compared to later model "flawless" trucks. When I replaced one of the door glasses I thought it showed better than average factory quality control.

I have owned a bunch of all the different years. I do mean a bunch!

I was a saleman for a mopar store in the mid sixties.

I sorta know values. So let's see if this makes any sense. Hypothetical example.

1964 short box with good color and css stripes. It only has 3500 miles. One family owned truck with poly 318, automatic and HP gauges. Equally nice 1968 adventurer equal miles and great color, also 318 L.A and automatic. I am not assured that if there were 20 bidders at a auction that the interest would be greater on the 1969.

Just not sure bout that. Gordo
