Message:   Close brush with the LAW

This morning while driving my 69 W200 in Los Angeles, I was bombing down a heavily travelled boulevard (Wilshire) around a bend and under an overpass. I find myself revving up the rpm's AS ALWAYS in that situation to enjoy the even more pronounced machine-gun like exhaust echos caused by a bridge (and my dual glass packs) that scare the crap out of people. LOL...

Anyhow, unbeknownst to me, a motorcycle cop was parked off to the side and watched me gutter slide and weave on through with a thunderous pound. I saw him in my rear view mirror just a little too late! I didn't let up on the pedal either 'cause I was already busted and I didn't want to look even more guilty. So I maintained my clip then noticed him u-turn around in a brisk business like manner.

He followed me for about a half mile and all the other cars in the adjacent lanes backed down to reveal only me and him riding along side me at that point. He waived for me to slow down a bit and jestured for me to roll down my window a little more. Even at 15 miles an hour in second gear my Swepty gives off a very authoritative growl. Ever so relaxed, the cop looks up at me and says. Son, ...That's a mighty fine Power Wagon you got there", "Is that a 68"?.. I paused and replied, "68 is close enough officer... and thank you!!

I then slid the shifter into third and gently cruised on past.
