Message:   For some reason that I never understood, the wood bed blocks seem to generate a lot of questions regarding the measurements. If your blocks have deteriorated away but the bolts are still there at their original setting all you have to do is jack up the bed until the bolts are tight against the brackets and then measure the height where the block goes. A better idea I think is to set it to where the accent line matches the cab and measure from there. Apparently QC on the Sweptline assembly line wasn't that great and sometimes the bed didn't perfectly line up with the cab. My truck has never been damaged or worked hard but here's a pic of what I'm talking about.

This was original paint and pinstripe. You can see how far it mismatched after I aligned the bed to the cab. When it's right the top of the bed front will align with the flat area on the rear of the cab and the accent line will be straight. I used some white oak that I had to make my blocks and just cut them to the height that I needed to make the bed sit correctly.
