Thanks Jimmy,

We are still trying to find another route to get the money to get things set up without selling the truck if at all possible. Me, the wife and the kids do not want to sell it. The plan was to get the shop built on the land and start a frame up restoration on the truck. I bought some historical land that the Swedish Colony settled back in the mid 1800's here on the mountain. It is all wooded so I bought the cheapest and biggest backhoe I could find to start clearing. The backhoe came with 6' forks which is nice to load logs with. If I can get the work done quick enough so as to sell the backhoe, that would help out. It is worth a little less than what I am asking for the truck.

We have several saw mills here that buy the timber and I am using my 1 ton Dodge with a 440 and my 10 ton gooseneck to haul the logs. Sure need a Cummins in the truck around the hills here, the 440 does just fine until I have to climb 6 and 8 degree mountains 3 to 4 miles long to the top around here. Well, big hills to you Westerners

I have a cheap saw mill myself to mill the pines to help with the cost of buying boards to build the shop. I have found out real quick that a logger could starve to death if he does not know what he is doing. These logs have to be cut just right to get the most board footage out of them, unless they go for pulp.
