Message:   Nice post in the blog, JimmieD. I could almost cut and paste some of your comments into a note about my life. I remember many times going to grand parents house in our 1950 Plymouth Suburban, or a trip to the mountains in our 1955 Plymouth, or a vacation in 1958 in our 1957 Desoto. All good times. Later I had kids of my own and my family haulers were a 64 Dodge station wagon, then a 67 Coronet 440 wagon, then an Aspen wagon. Almost every vehicle I've had since my first car in 1957 has been Mopar, and I still consider myself a Mopar guy but I haven't responded to the blog about brand loyalty because I have recently "jumped ship" to another brand. To be honest, Chrysler hasn't built much in the last twenty years that really excites me. I had two B series passenger vans along the way, a 77 and an 87. I might be driving one of those now if they still were made. I even went to a dealer to try to buy one before they were discontinued and the dealer brushed me off. No, none in stock, but if I signed and paid the down payment he would order me one, but wasn't sure how long it would take to get it. This was a "5 Star" dealer. He did have some front wheel drive mini-vans and some other small fwd cars in stock though, if I was interested in one of those. He had hundreds of new vehicles and not a one of them interested me in the least. What happened to Chrysler? I used to go to a Mopar dealer and look at cars, and I would want all of them,LOL. Now, I don't want any of them. I realize that every brand can't have exactly what every person wants, but I hope the new management at Chrysler will be better at designing a product line than Daimler was. I'd love to switch back to Mopar for my next vehicle but time will tell if it happens.
