Message:   Hi guys, a friend of mine has a 1961 D100 with real low miles. It's a slant 6 with push button auto tranny. The other day he pulled the emergency brake cable when he parked & when he went to leave....no chance!
The emergency is on the back of the transmission but I'm unfamiliar with these auto transmissions. They don't have park...just the E brake.
So...what likely happened & what do I need to do to get the damn thing released for him so he can get it home where we can work on it?
I was wondering if the cable jammed in the housing but he's been using it as a daily driver??
Any suggestions...anyone had a similar problem?
