Message:   I think the question is regarding the front engine mounts which are somewhat similar to those smallblock mounts. My 400 truck had the ones he's talking about and by my dim memory the rounded 'valley' portion goes towards the front. Something to do with torque twist and shock loaads and thrust and all that, so the motor mounts don't tear and separate as easily. Town Wagon had a similar setup when I put the LA in, but I still tore out all 4 motor mounts at one time via applied torque!!! Marco dual exhaust was the only thing holding in the drivetrain.....good exhaust.
