Subject:   Engine mounts 1966 D100 V8, which way do they go ???

Message:   Hello,

I have a 360 in my 1966 D100 and the engine mounts are all broken. I have new ones (NOS)to install. I noticed that the engine mounts have a valley on one edge, facing up.

Can any of you tell me which direction the engine mounts are suppose to be installed. Does the valley face the radiator or does the valley face the firewall?

Does it even matter? I suppose that this shape is part of the overall construction to make the mount stronger.

I hope this is not a really dumb post.

Thanks in advance.

David Harding
