Message:   Agreed, Earl, the 741 can be just fine. Avoid the '657 like the plague. My suggestion was based on a guy going to look for one and buy it, so figuring get the best if you can. Yes, disputabe whether '489 is toughest, but the numbers say it is and may prefer it.

But, hey, I noticed by that last post that your truck ALREADY HAS a Dana 60??? No question then: KEEP THE DANA 60! 8 3/4's are great, but D60's are better by far.
