So I've been messing with Cryptos (coperative redwood yield project timber output simulator). It grows trees, so you can look at a forest and predict how many and what size the trees will be in x number of years. Anyone know how well it grows uneven aged redwoods (it was designed for even aged)? Do you know what the best BDq (B = Basal area, D = max DBH (diameter at 4.5 ft. above the ground on the uphill side of the tree), q, just don't ask, describes the number of large trees to little trees) parameters are for growing redwoods?

The other project I have is I'm writing (or should be writing...) a long term timber management plan.. anyone got any suggestions about what all needs to be in it....

Matt
