Message:   Thanks Norm,

I have less than 500 miles on the suregrip since I installed it. All the teeth looked good no chips. When I pulled the axles I inspected the axle bearings and greased them until they would not hold any more grease.

I never did check the torque on the pinion nut because I asked the seller if he had torqued it properly when he installed the yoke that I needed and he said that he did.

Besides I don't have a socket big enough to torque a pinion nut and I beleive they require something like 200+ ft lbs of torque.

At any rate, I will drive the truck some more and see if I can reproduce the sound after checking the u-joint.

I really want this truck road worthy this month so I can drive it from Seattle to Vancouver for the picnic.

Thanks again,
Dave
